Revolutionizing Fall Detection: Introducing Serenity

Unveiling a Groundbreaking Approach

Serenity, the brainchild of a successful collaboration between Cherish Health and Alarm.com, represents a groundbreaking leap in fall-detection technology, eschewing the need for conventional wearables. Making its debut at CES in Las Vegas, Serenity introduces a novel approach to safeguarding the elderly and vulnerable members of society.

The Seamless Integration

Sumit Nagpal, CEO and founder of Cherish Health, elucidates the simplicity of Serenity’s installation process, stating, “You just plug it in, and it blends into your life. There’s no need for apps or complicated configurations.” By harnessing advanced radar technology and AI algorithms, Serenity can monitor up to two individuals within a 40-foot range, even through walls, offering detailed insights into their activities while upholding privacy.

A Product of Resilience

Established amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in January 2020, Cherish Health persevered to develop a product with the potential to save lives. What distinguishes Serenity is its capability to construct a precise 13-point skeleton model of individuals in near-real-time, enabling it to discern between intentional reclining and falls, including slow falls often undetected by conventional accelerometers.

Beyond Fall Detection

While Serenity excels in fall detection, its utility extends further. Nagpal asserts that the system can remotely monitor resting heart rate and respiration without the need for wearable devices, revolutionizing home healthcare practices. Additionally, the company envisions broader applications for its patented technology, such as concealed weapon detection in public spaces and health monitoring in vehicles, presenting a multifaceted solution for various safety concerns.

Localized Manufacturing and Market Interest

Cherish has strategically localized its manufacturing operations, with facilities in New Hampshire and Santa Clara. This approach not only ensures efficiency but also underscores the company’s commitment to domestic production. With negotiations underway for an order of half a million units, Serenity has garnered significant market interest despite its relatively premium price tag of $300 plus a $39 per month subscription.

Promising Independence and Peace of Mind

Amidst the tumult of a global pandemic, Cherish Health has transformed adversity into innovation, culminating in the development of Serenity. Nagpal reflects on the journey, emphasizing that Serenity embodies more than just a product; it symbolizes a pledge to independence, safety, and tranquility for the aging population and vulnerable individuals alike.
