Maison Accuracy Offices: Merging Corporate Identity with Homely Comfort

Atelier l’Abri embraced the challenge of creating office spaces for the international consulting firm Accuracy that evoke a sense of home while embodying the company’s unique corporate identity. Drawing inspiration from residential projects, the architects crafted inviting and generous workspaces that foster conviviality and productivity.

Design-Build Approach

Collaborating closely with Construction Modulor, Atelier l’Abri engaged in the project from its inception, actively participating in the search for the ideal location for Accuracy’s new Montreal offices. Departing from the trend of downsizing workspaces due to increased telecommuting, Accuracy opted for a larger space. Employing an analytical approach, the architects proposed a flexible layout model prioritizing comfort and communal areas.

Architectural Heritage and Design Highlights

Moving from a downtown tower to Old Montreal, Accuracy selected a site rich in character and history. The architects drew inspiration from the building’s architectural heritage, meticulously preserving original features such as mill floor ceilings and incorporating natural materials like walnut and lime plaster. The space, illuminated by two grand skylights, exudes a distinctive charm and spatial quality.

Program Layout

The office program is organized into two wings: a public client area and a private section for employees. This division promotes intimacy and freedom, fostering relaxation and a sense of belonging among team members. Lighter tones, understated finishes, and lounge furniture contribute to a relaxed ambiance. Flexible layouts strike a balance between open-plan offices and traditional closed conference rooms, optimizing space while encouraging collaboration.

Design Elements

In the client wing, walnut accents infuse warmth and elegance into conference rooms and common areas. Central bespoke furniture with curved lines adds a touch of uniqueness to the project, complementing the surrounding orthogonal shapes. Maison Accuracy integrates new organizational principles, offering bright, soothing, and comfortable office spaces that inspire human connection and collaboration.

Maison Accuracy Offices by Atelier l’Abri harmoniously merges corporate identity with homely comfort, setting a new standard for workplace design that prioritizes both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
