Chalkidis recorded a video using the doll, mimicking the facial movements required for verification. Surprisingly, Instagram accepted the video, highlighting vulnerabilities in its face detection technology.

Moreover, Instagram’s verification process appears to overlook the gender of the account holder. The experiment was repeated using a Barbie Ken doll, yielding the same successful result. These instances underscore the existing loopholes in Instagram’s video selfie verification system.
